Recipe Keto Mozzarella Dough Bagels


Ingredients
  1. 170 g pre shredded/grated cheese mozzarella
  2. 85 g almond meal/flour *see recipe notes below
  3. 2 tbsp cream cheese full fat
  4. 1 egg medium
  5. 1 tsp baking powder
  6. pinch salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the shredded/grated cheese, almond flour/meal and cream cheese in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute.
  2. Stir then microwave on HIGH for another 30 seconds.
  3. Add the egg, baking powder, salt, and any other flavourings, mix gently.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Roll into balls then into cylinder shapes as shown in the video.
  5. Fold the ends of the cylinder shapes in a circle and squeeze the two ends together to form a bagel shape.
  6. Place on a baking tray and sprinkle with sesame seeds.Bake at 220C/425F for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Recipe Notes
Mozzarella dough can also be made by replacing the almond meal/flour with 1/4 cup (4 tbsp) coconut flour.
